Friday Poll: CD-7

As always, please answer on who you think will win, not who you want to win. If you had to place a bet, where would you put your money?

  1. I think Perlmutter is ahead at this point, and I have no doubt that this poll will reflect that, but I still think these COPols-polls are a joke…

I seem to remember these numbers from the last one…

    52.31% (34 votes)  Peggy Lamm
    47.69% (31 votes)  Ed Perlmutter

With accuracy like that a day out, I don’t expect one three months out to mean anything.

      1. Asking Dem’s who will win should be fairly accurate if things don’t change dramatically soon.

The establishment is hated more than ever at this point.

    1.   Yes, although they are entertaining, these COPols polls tend to be a bit unscientific and unreliable, to put it politely.  Only Nancy Reagan’s practice of scheduling international summit meetings based upon in which house Ronnie’s moon could be found was more flaky.
Better to predict the future based upon the bumps on someone’s head or which arthritic joints in the body ache before inclement weather.

      1. Is there ANYONE who really thinks these polls are scientific and accurate? Really?

While we appreciate everyone’s willingness to point out the obvious every time a poll appears, let’s all take a deep breath and remember that the polls are just for entertainment purposes only. Sometimes they do prove to be accurate, but by no means are they scientifically correct.

  2. O’Donnell won’t be able to run away from calling for Social Security to be eliminated, or calling it ‘un-American.’

His attempt to slither to the Bush position on Social Security is almost just as bad for him.  The policy is another political liability, and the fact that it happens to be Bush’s policy at a time when Bush is vastly unpopular with everyone but the wingnuts is just a killer.

His position on stem cells presents another obvious contrast for Perlmutter to exploit.  And yet again, he’s tied to Bush on an issue that is politically unpopular.

O’Donnell’s positions might have been survivable in an election year like 2002, but in the current political climate, he’s walking uphill, both ways, in the snow, surrounded by hungry bears.

    1. Remember when your grandparents always gave you that line about how tough they had it back in the day?

Wow, Ricky has something in common with senior citizens after all.

    2. Lil’ Ricky needs to put in time out for lying on the Caplis & Silverman.  He’s another rubber stamper, while hand in hand with Bush and Hastert.  He’s not showing any voter that he’s going to DC to “change” the current political corruption but rather to be apart of it.

Im guessing Norquist will be the next to come out and help O’Donnell.  He’s needs some more K Street Congressman since a few of them are going to jail and have declined to run again most notably, Cunningham, DeLay and Ney.

    3. I think calling Social Security un-American is going to be the worst gaffe.  Exploring other ways of handling Social Security is one thing, but the “un-American” comment is going to really bug people.
